I am NOT a social worker....

http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/socialwork/default.shtm

The Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners (TSBSWE) regulates the profession of Social Work in Texas. The TSBSWE is a state agency with rule making authority governed by a nine member board appointed by the Governor, and is administratively attached to the Texas Department of State Health Services.

So, there are rules about who can call themselves a social worker. I have not followed the rules, therefore I cannot call myself a social worker. I work in the field, however.

On the other hand, although I think I hide it well, I am pretty anti-social. Not to the point of sociopathy, but let's just say, you all wear me out.

So this is my new blog, one where I can vent about my day, without naming names or quoting cases, but venting nonetheless.

I am starting this because of the Golden Coffee Cup. In order to earn a Golden Coffee Cup, I will need to update this blog a minimum of three times a week. Your mileage may vary. If you want a golden coffee cup of your own, visit mollyblaisdell.blogspot.com

Finally , my quote of the day, which I have been chewing on all weekend....

From Marie Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet...

Your are looking outward and that above all you should not do now. Nobody can counsel you, nobody. There is only one single way. go into yourself. Search for the reason that bids your to write; find out whether you would have to die if it were denied you to write. this above all - ask yourself in the stillest hour of your night: Must I write? Delve into yourself for  a deep answer. And if this should be affirmative, if you may meet this earnest question with a strong and simple "I must," then build your lfe according to this necessity, your life even  into its most indifferent and slightesr hour must be a sign of this urge an testimony to it.
